Artist Introduction

LAI Wai Lam received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from The ChineseUniversity of Hong Kong in 2012. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in FineArts from CUHK. Lai concentrates on Chinese ink media creations. Through reorganizing features of everyday imagery and a combination of different traditional Chinese painting skills, the artist wishes to provide a distinctive way of seeing and ease off the pace of living. He utilizes ink and water with different notions, forms or methods to reveal the value of Chinese art and contemporary ink art. Yau tries to pursue the classics, meanwhile return to reality. The replicating process gave birth to the aesthetics and spirit of philosophy. Eric lives and works in Hong Kong. He graduated with a Bachelor in Fine Arts from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2012 and will be studying MFA in the same university in the coming September. The artist mainly focus on creating art in Chinese medium, who loves to observe our nature and tiny stuffs in our daily lives.
