You fill my life, my emotions,
Sometimes, I am wishing you grow up faster because of your troublesome.
The only things can keep forever are the memories when I look back.The art piece is inspired by the interaction between me and my son, weaving in the intimacy and fresh of being a mom for the first time. Holding his little hands helps me to seek my new role of motherhood. The awakening of femininity and motherhood has been overwhelming, and I was switching between the roles of being a mom and myself, the weaving helps me to seek a peace of mind, enjoying the joy and creativity of motherhood, as an integral part of my life.

Artist Introduction
Lau Siu San is a lecturer in a design institute of Hong Kong. She is studying the Master of Arts programme in Fine Arts at Chinese University of Hong Kong. This programmer records the special stage in my life, allows me to get closer to art and opens the windows of my life. A magnificent spectacle spread itself out in front of me. Lau Siu San was conferred with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree from Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 2010, majoring in stage and costume design. During her study, she was one of the scholars under the Hong Kong Jockey Club Scholarship Scheme. In 2016, she was awarded another Jockey Club scholarship for an immersive Executive Education programme at Said Business School, University of Oxford. In 2018, “The Wise Athena” won 2 Winner Awards in the internationally renowned World of Wearable Art Award Competition.
