12-fight UFC veteran Sam Sicilia Newest to Signal multi-fight Bellator contract

Good on him! Dropping a unanimous choice to promotional novice Gavin Tucker at UFC Fight Night 105 back in October, Sicilia fell to some three-fight losing skid from the UFC and obtained his pink slip from the promotion. I like he’s found a new home using Bellator, and an equally good or better payday. Win or lose, the Washington native always shows up to fight and seems for the end. Congratulations to Sammy Dubs for his new arrangement, and best of luck on his new chapter.
Frank Mir agrees to cope with Bellator MMA
Nice! The UFC did the ideal thing and released Mir out of his contract, which allowed Bellator to sweep up him. My guess is that they promised him a matchup from Fedor Emalianenko, which made him pick Bellator over rival promotions. I like this move by Mir and anticipate watching him within the Bellator cage. The Fedor matchup would surely be an intriguing one.

Dillashaw: Mighty Mouse has been’consolation prize’
TJ Dillashaw is now set to face UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt at UFC 217 at New York City on November 4th, and the most important reason this title fight is now taking place is because UFC flyweight champion Demetrious”Mighty Mouse” Johnson refused to defend his title against Dillashaw if Garbrandt was forced from their UFC 209 competition because of injury. The Duane Ludwig-trained fighter knows that Johnson wasn’t confident in himself to accept the challenge. Speaking to MMA Junkie Radio, Dillashaw said that the Gabrandt fight is what he wanted all along and the Johnson matchup was just a backup plan. He understands that’s not a fantastic fight for him wouldn’t take it,” Dillashaw said. “He is real worried about this document that he wants to break. Go ahead and let him do that, I figure.”
White: Ferguson, Lee to struggle for interim lightweight name Alright, now we are talking! Early popular consensus is that Ferguson is going to handily defeat Lee, but I’m not so convinced. Lee has been quite impressive as of late, and I enjoy seeing his expansion inside the Octagon. That is a matchup I am excited about seeing, and win or lose, I hope Lee doesn’t suffer any mishaps he cane make a fast turnaround for December’s UFC 218 in his native Detroit, which is two weeks after the Ferguson bout.
