Undergraduate Exhibition 2014

The Undergraduate Exhibition consists of 19 proposals in total, which are all initiated and formulated by undergraduates within the department, and each of them are composed of different ideology. For instance the proposal “Vanishing Line”, which echoes with the I.CARE program in CUHK, opens a new way to establish non-sensual connection between Art and the visually impaired, so as influences between the two parties. “Master-spacing ver. 1.5” aims at utilizing the prime space, detach from the typical decent framework, therefore create a breakthrough in the ordinary imaginary of an art exhibition; while “Nì” and “Kè Niàn” display both contemporary and traditional Chinese art, search for new possibilities for new ink and trace back the traditional essence in terms of philosophy and aesthetics correspondingly; for those will be positioned in some untouched public areas such as the stairs and washroom: “The Wallflower’s Secret”, “I Breathe with a Hole” and “Inhibition”. By adopting some unusual exhibiting areas, they provide a brand-new sense of freshness to the audience this year. Besides Cheng Ming Building and Ch’ien Mu Library, other outdoor spaces will also be taken up as venues for exhibitions.
