There’s a lot of cash to be obtained this week on DraftKings including a top prize of $25k in the primary tournament. DK also has a lot of Qualifier competitions available this week, where the final event will pay $50k to 1st for those who did qualify to perform inside. I will be pursuing those as well since we’ve not ever had a $50k 1st place prize and I want it. We didn’t have one fight fall away but we still have a 13-fight card. This is a superb card to construct your bankroll to get the very first Sunday of NFL so it’s possible to pursue that $1M.
Money Game play of this week — Zabit Magomedsharipov ($9,400)
Zabit will be super chalky in tournament. Everyone who had Shevchenko within their lineup will change to Zabit and he will likely be the most possessed fighter on the slate. In cash games we do not really care about possession as much and I will be starting my cash team with Zabit. I believe he is the simplest triumph on the card and he has the maximum ceiling too. I believe if you want to get sneaky and not use Zabit, the GPPs are the place to do this. Lock him and choose the win. Then you just have to find about 3 other wins and you should have a winning money team.
GPP play of this week — Alex White ($8,600)
I believe Jim Miller is near the finish of his career and I am thinking this is going to be the final time we see him in the UFC. I think he’s going to be given his 5th loss in a row here and I am guessing it will be via knockout. I think Alex White is going to be too strong and quick for Jim Miller at this stage in his career and I believe he is going to have the ability to keep this fight on the toes. With everyone paying for Zabit in GPPs, Alex White and a few other mid-range favorites might be a good way to go to create your lineups more contrarian and try to get 1st place in a GPP like that. I do like White a fantastic bit in this struggle and I think he’s 100+ point potential at a $8.6k salary. Because of this, he is my GPP play of the week.
Underdog drama of this week — Diego Sanchez ($7,300)
Diego Sanchez is my underdog drama of the week since I do not think Craig White isn’t any good. Sanchez may be entirely shot, and if that is the case he could get KO’d early. But I don’t think Craig White should be -200 contrary to any UFC fighter. Diego is cheap enough where it lets you get a number of those higher favorites you like on your lineup, and now I believe he can get a decision win here. He will be my pick to win, but it’s not a confident pick and I believe he makes to get a much better GPP play than money punt.
Fade of the week — Aljamain Sterling ($8,500)
I am looking forward to seeing this battle and I will be choosing Aljo to get the win here. My difficulty is that I don’t think he is very likely to score highly, and maybe not even 10x his salary. I think a whole lot of this struggle will happen on the feet and Aljo does not throw in a high enough speed to score well in a striking match. He will have to find this fight to the ground a few times and stand up some advance points for him to score highly. I don’t see this occurring. I think this will be a very close fight and I’d rather just cover any of the fighters above Sterling. I think we’d be taking a look at a score about 70-75 DK points with an Aljo decision win here.
